PiP Bro – Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026

PiP Bro is a browser extension that opens the video on the current page in a Picture-in-Picture window with playback controls and subtitles. It does not collect, send, sell or share any data about you.

When it runs

PiP Bro has no access to any website until you click its toolbar icon or press its keyboard shortcut. It then runs only on that tab, to move the video into the Picture-in-Picture window, read the subtitles the site is already showing, and control playback. On Netflix it also reads the player's subtitle setting and asks the player to seek, because Netflix does not allow seeking any other way.

What it stores

Only your PiP Bro settings: the hold-to-speed-up speed and how far the arrow keys jump. They are saved in your browser's extension storage. If Chrome sync is turned on, Chrome syncs them between your own browsers through your Google account.

What is sent anywhere

Nothing. PiP Bro has no servers and makes no network requests. Videos, subtitles and the pages you watch never leave your browser.

Reporting a problem

If you click "Report a problem", PiP Bro opens a Gmail draft addressed to us containing the website's domain name (for example netflix.com), the PiP Bro version and your browser version. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself.

What we do not do

Removing your data

Uninstalling PiP Bro removes its settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
